Who Is Kelly

As a parent who only wants the best education for my children and yours, I am running for the position of School Board Trustee for the Regina Public School Board. I love giving back to my community through volunteering and helping out different organizations. I value integrity, transparency, kindness and a strong work ethic. I'm a dedicated person with an IT background specializing in organizational change. Throughout my career, I've become skilled at bringing people together, encouraging collaboration, and making sure everyone's voice is heard. I believe in making smart decisions based on data that tells the whole story and takes into account everyone's needs. I think Education Trustees should have the right mix of experience and training to make a positive and lasting impact, and I believe I have what it takes!

The fundamentals matter. By prioritizing the basics we can focus on student learning, critical thinking and achievement in reading, writing and math to prepare them for success in a complex world.

Let’s do our job.

Ensuring an effective, functioning board means a look at reallocation of resources and reduction of external influences and bureaucracy. Let’s emphasize truth and transparency in decision-making to earn the trust of the community.

Let’s restore fiscal responsibility.

Through streamlining operations, we can allocate more funding towards student needs and reducing class complexity and size.

Let’s demonstrate social responsibility.

Parents voices matter. Demonstrating social responsibility includes maintaining appropriate boundaries, respecting parental involvement in their children's education and healthcare decisions.

Let’s teach good values.

Solid values and nurture in our children a respect for others, a love for our country, and the integrity to always do what is right. Let’s bring them back.
