Who Is Lise

My name is Lise Merle, and I am honoured to be running for Regina Public School Board Trustee in Subdivision 7 serving NW Regina on November 13, 2024. 
 
I fundamentally believe that the direction of our education system determines the direction of our province, and for far too long we’ve been asleep at the wheel. I’m willing to do the heavy lifting to get our students and school communities back on track to a bright and prosperous future.

Why She Is Running

Lise is running on the following issues:

1. Defend parents’ Charter protected rights; and to determine all aspects of their children’s education

2. Education over indoctrination 

3. Merit based education

4. Teach “life skills” 

5. Focus on fundamentals: reading, writing, math and science

6. Advocate for educational reform

7. Keep drugs, crime, inappropriate materials, and violence out

8. Advocate for in person learning and smaller class sizes. 

9. Mental health and special needs supports

10. Fortify School-Community Councils
