Who Is Mandeep
I have been a proud resident of Harbour Landing since 2015, living here with my husband and our two children who attend Regina Public School. My journey in this community has been fulfilling and has deepened my commitment to its well-being and future.
I bring over 15 years of experience in customer service, voluntary social work, and unit support work in our local healthcare system. These roles have honed my skills in listening, understanding diverse needs, and working collaboratively to find effective solutions.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from Mumbai University, where I gained a strong foundation in business and finance. In addition, I completed a Diploma in Montessori Education from Nav Bharat Education Society in Mumbai. This specialized training has equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills in early childhood education, focusing on the Montessori method, which emphasizes child-led learning and holistic development. My educational background reflects a blend of both commerce and education, allowing me to approach various fields with a well-rounded perspective.
My community service has always been driven by a desire to give back. I have volunteered in various capacities, from organizing local events to supporting healthcare initiatives. This has given me a deep appreciation for the power of community and the importance of being an active and engaged resident.
Why She Is Running
As a parent with firsthand experience in our educational system, I have seen both its challenges and opportunities. Families are frustrated with school boards for not hearing them and not allowing them to decide what their children can study or what activities they can participate in. Many feel that schools are dividing them and their children. I decided to run for School Board Trustee because I believe we can better meet the needs of students and families. My goal is to advocate for high-quality education and ensure every child in our district has the resources and support they need to succeed. I am committed to restoring trust and fostering a collaborative environment where families feel heard and respected.
