Saskatchewan Unions team with Radical Trans-Activists in attempt to overturn parental rights legislation.

The activist organization “Queer Momentum” and their executive director, Trans-Activists Fae Johnstone, has been given almost $400,000 by the Trudeau government. This funding is being utilized to bring on help to organize leftist political projects.

What does it mean?

Documents obtained by Sheila Gunn Reid revealed that the Trudeau Government has allocated $400,000 toward and organization called “queer momentum.” Queer Momentum is in turn funding a part-time position that's focused on organizing efforts against the Saskatchewan party, especially in response to the parental rights legislation that was passed last year.

The organization will be partnering with various labor unions in the province to oppose The Saskatchewan Party’s Parental rights legislation and to advance the goal, views, and ideology of the transgender rights movement. According to Fae Johnstone “This partnership continues a long history of solidarity between labour and queer social justice movements”1

Kent Peterson, President of CUPE Saskatchewan, said ““Mobilizing voters against hate-based policies, such as Scott Moe’s Bill 137 and his abuse of the notwithstanding clause to suspend the rights of children, will be a top priority for our new organizer.”

It seems that the Trudeau government is making a concerted effort to direct funds to groups involved in partisan political activism. This means that public money, which was intended for essential public goods and services, is now being utilized to support what essentially acts as a get-out-the-vote campaign for left-leaning political organizations.

It's stories like this that highlight why RCAAN is actively involved in civic elections in Saskatchewan. We believe that public funds should be used for the greater good and to support services that benefit everyone, rather than getting tied up in the voter mobilization efforts of any one electoral group. Our focus is on ensuring that public money is used wisely for the community!

RCAAN is committed to fostering a well-informed and active community in Regina. Our focus is on empowering residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to make impactful political decisions and take meaningful action.
